BIO: My passion in Amateur Radio is for 50 MHZ and above. I have worked WAS and 9 countries on 6 Meters, On 2 Meters I have enjoyed contacts with 40 states and Mexico and Canada. Just recently setup our station for all mode operation on 1.25, 70cm and 23 cm and I look forward to working my way through the states on those bands as well.

We have a local group/organization dedicated to promoting VHF Activity: www.wx5us.us

I am an avid Rag Chewer and DXer on HF, but avoid the bands with a passion during contest season. I have WAS on 40, 20, 17 and have worked 212 countries so far since my return to the hobby in 2006.

My wife and I are both Amateur Radio Operators with totally separate interest. While I lean toward DXing and good conversation, her primary focus is on Emergency communications. As such our station was designed around multiple operator operation with 100% full battery backup and operation.

Our station is designed for multi-operator operation from 160 meters to 23cm, with Satellite and EME operation just recently coming into play. We can operate all modes: Phone, CW, Digital {Packtor, Packet, RTTY, PSK-31}.

If I am in the shack I can be found:

75 Meter Phone: 3.822

6 Meter SSB: 50.125 and 50.130 {I monitor both freq}

2 Meter SSB: 144.200 {Beam normally points to the North east at 75 degrees}

2 Meter FM: 146.520

1.25 FM: 223.500 {I have all mode and in VHF contest will work SSB}

70 cm FM: 443.025 PL 82.5 {Our repeater} During VHF contest I will work SSB

I'm very active on 20, 17 and 23 cm as well.

Note: My preferences if for postal QSL Cards and I QSL 100% on all received cards.
